Pop star Bruno Mars was arrested in September 2010 after police found him in possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine after a Las Vegas nightclub performance. The 25-year-old Grammy nominee Mars, real name Peter Hernandez, made an appearance before a Las Vegas judge on a plea deal that could get him dismissal of the drug charge. The deal is for him to plead guilty as a first offender to a charge that will be dismissed if he stays out of trouble for a year, completes community service and drug counseling, and pays a $2,000 fine

Actor Matthew McConaughey was arrested October 25, 1999, in Austin, Texas, on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting transportation after an early morning disturbance at his home in which police said he was dancing naked and playing the bongo drums. During a court appearance two drug-related charges were dismissed and McConaughey faced only a charge of resisting transportation, a misdemeanour. He was released on $1,000 bond
December 25, 2009. Charlie Sheen was arrested for second degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, according to Aspen Police Department's Community Relations Specialist Stephanie Dasaro. All charges were coupled with a domestic violence component.
