However, the pedestrians-only curving structure is not without controversy. Critics worry the new bridge, which is not yet under construction, will destroy Pimlco Gardens, one of few public gardens in the area.

World's longest pedestrian suspension bridge opens in Switzerland

Spanning an awesome 1621 feet and rising as high as 279 feet, the newly opened Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge in Switzerland has broken the record for the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, according to Zermatt Tourism. The bridge offers hikers views of the Matterhorn, Weisshorn and Bernese Alps.

Abandoned Stars Wars sets in the desert

New York-based visual artist and filmmaker Rä di Martino has taken a series of eerie and beautiful photos that capture scenes of abandoned Hollywood film sets. Martino spent over a year traveling throughout the desert towns of Morocco and Tunisia hunting down the old Star Wars sets. 'No More Stars' showcases the backdrop of Luke Skywalker’s home on the fictional desert planet Tatooine, its massive structures that now stand like ancient ruins forgotten by time and man.

Hundreds of tourists eager to escape the heat are flocking to Dubai's Chillout cafe, the first "ice lounge" in the Middle East, whose interior is made entirely of carved ice, with frozen picture frames, ice curtains and frosty seats covered in fur.
